We will pick you up in the morning for a trip to the hot springs, which takes about an hour and
includes some bumpy terrain. Our journey will take us past sugar cane plantations and through
African scrubland, where we'll see dried riverbeds, baobab trees, and acacia trees along the way.
The Kikuletwa hot springs, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, are located near the village of
Rundugai and are one of the most beautiful places in Tanzania to relax. The small pond is
surrounded by palm and fig trees with winding roots. In the morning, you can often spot Blue
Monkeys in the trees, and the crystal-clear turquoise water invites you to take a refreshing dip.
Although they are called hot springs, the water in Kikuletwa is not truly 'hot.' Instead, it is
pleasantly refreshing, as it is fed by the waters of Kilimanjaro.
You can enjoy a wonderful day however you wish—relaxing in the sun, chatting with locals at
the small bar, or swimming; the day is yours to shape. We'll have a picnic lunch at noon, and
then in the late afternoon, we will return relaxed to Moshi.
All prices are based on USD and include English-speaking drivers, entry fees for the hot
springs, private transport from/to Moshi, picnic lunch, and bottled water.
